50 Cent Proves G-Unit Still Has Motion as Reebok G6 Sells Out in Under Two Hours

More than two decades after G-Unit helped define an era of hip-hop, 50 Cent is proving the brand's influence is far from over. The legendary Reebok G-Unit G6 officially returned on August 20, 2026, and Reebok's online inventory reportedly sold out in less than two hours.

Originally released in 2003 at the height of 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin' era, the G6 became one of hip-hop's most recognizable artist-backed sneakers. The 2026 release stays close to the original, bringing back the white leather construction, grey suede detailing, red, white and blue accents and signature G-Unit branding. The shoes retailed for $130 through Reebok and select retailers.

The immediate demand says a lot about how strongly early-2000s hip-hop culture continues to connect with fans. G-Unit wasn't simply dominating music during that period. The movement expanded into fashion, sneakers and entertainment, helping show how a rap brand could grow far beyond albums.

50 Cent has previously said millions of pairs of G-Unit sneakers were sold during the original partnership, while the collaboration became one of Reebok's most notable connections between hip-hop and footwear.

For longtime fans, the G6 comeback is pure nostalgia. For a younger generation embracing Y2K fashion, it's an introduction to an important piece of hip-hop history.

Either way, selling out more than 20 years later makes one thing clear: G-Unit still has cultural pull.
